Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy

We are in the process of trying to figure out if Brodie is a candidate for selective dorsal rhizotomy. It is a surgery where they will go into his lower back and find which nerve roots are causing the spasticity (cerebral palsy) and clip these nerves. He will have 6 days in the hospital in St. Louis followed by intensive physical therapy (5 times a week) for 6months plus. It is really exciting but also very scary. Not sure but everything seems to be working out. Just still praying about everything while the paperwork, x-rays, MRI's, and videos are being processed. We just want to be able to give Brodie every opportunity to everything he could possibly dream of in his lifetime. Just asking for lots and lots of prayers while we are going through this process.

GRANDMAC AND MEME'S CHRISTMAS PARTY

Christmas night we went over to GrandMac and MeMe's. I climbed on the stairs and tried to pull the train off the tracks. We exchanged gifts and then had a cup of hot chocolate. It was so warm and tasty!!!I got my very own grand piano!

MOSS' CHRISTMAS PARTY

Christmas lunch was at the clubhouse. We had the most food! It was really yummy! I got to see my best friend, Bailey!!! For some silly reason I did not get a picture with her!

NANA AND PAPA'S CHRISTMAS PARTY

Christmas Breakfast is always done at Nana and Papa's! Fried deer meat, bacon, sausage, eggs, grits, biscuits, and much more is always the best. After breakfast the fun begins!

CROCKER CHRISTMAS

We had a Christmas party at Mamaw Crocker's house! It was chaotic~but lots of fun!

GRAHAM CHRISTMAS

Saturday afternoon~night we did a Christmas for the Graham Family. I got a tractor with cows, horses and lots of animals. We ate and had the best fellowship and everybody had a turn at Nana's new Baby Grand!!! Merry Christmas!!!

I had the best time at the Christmas Party! I got to see Santa and he is a pretty cool guy! He said he was going to come see me if I was a good little boy. (I guess we will have to wait and see!)

DAD'S VACATION

Dad is on vacation. It is great~ now I have two people to tell what to do, Mama and Daddy!!! We have been riding on the 4 wheeler, Uncle Zach's Bad Boy, eating cookies in bed, and tons of other fun things. I think tomorrow he is going to take me to Gitano Grocery. MMMMMMM!!!

I hope all of you are having a great time getting ready for the holidays. We have heard of many different Christmas parties and get togethers. I am feeling much better but still not 100%. My dad has hurt his back again and I am sure most of you already know that my mom didn't have surgery yesterday. The surgery has been rescheduled for January 5, 2007! WoW! That sounds weird but 2007 is almost here.

GETTING BETTER

I am getting better. I still have a consistent cough that is driving me crazy but just wanted to let you know that I am feeling better. Be back soon!!

I am still sick but hoping to get better soon! I have not slept much in the last few days because of this horrible cough that never ends!!! My mom just started laughing at me and my dad this morning because one will cough and then the other. She says that we should just have a coughfest and see who wins. I hope all of you have a great week and I will be back in touch.

HAPPY SATURDAY

I know that some of you are wondering about my neurosurgeon visit. Well~ I didn't get to go!!! I got sick with the same thing everyone else has. I went to see Dr. Tibbs yesterday and she said that I have some swollen lymph nodes, dripping, fluid filled ears,a type of strep infection~BLAH!!! So you guessed it~not feeling to well!

After all that BAD news guess what? I put 2 words together 3 times!!!!!!!!Goooooo Meeeeee!!!! I had to call Mrs. Sarah (my teacher) immediately and let her know! She was really excited!

Well I am sure most of you will be out putting the finishing all your Christmas shopping or preparing for Christmas while I am stuck in my house today! That is really so not fun. Remember be sure to look at the countdown for how many days are left until Christmas and have a blessed day!!

This Week

This week= BUSY!!! Monday I had school. My mom and Aunt Dawn went walking so I got to play with Bailey. Tuesday I went to see Mrs. TJ at Wesley and MeMe went with me. We had a really good time. We even got to eat at McDonald's!!! I love chicken nuggets and fries but I didn't get any COKE!!! Tuesday Night I went to the USM Symphony and had a blast! I had to get up and help Mrs. Margaret say Thank You and of course I was a ham!!! Wednesday I had school and church. And I am sure there will be tons of other things this week. Friday I have a neurosurgeon appointment in Jackson.

Sunday

Sunday I went to see my cousin Kristen get baptized. We ate at Nana and Papa's Church for lunch and then Nana took me on a walk.

CHRISTMAS PARADE

Me, Mom and Anna went to the Laurel Christmas Parade. We met Nana there because she had to be in the parade. It was really cold when we arrived but so hot by the time we left. I sure liked looking at all the cars, motorcycles, people, and especially the ponies!!! I really want a pony but my mom and dad just aren't sure what we will do with it. Kayte and Rustin stood with us at the parade and I was really ugly to Kayte. I pinched and pulled on her. I even saw Aunt Dawn and Bailey on a float. When Nana's float came by I got to ride on her float for the rest of the parade but I was back in time to see Santa!!!
