MY NEW THERAPY~ AQUATICS

Today I started aquatics! It was AWESOME! My mom forgot the camera so of course we don't have any pictures but I can tell you I had the best time. It has been forever since my mom let me in a pool and I played and kicked and kicked and kicked some more along with I think I swallowed about a gallon of pool water but I really didn't care. OMG!! IT WAS SO FUN!!! I can't wait to go back....

I love to play with my daddy! We rough house I guess you would call it. Well I bite him and he bites back! I hit him and he cries! He tickles me and I laugh and laugh until I lose my breath and get the hiccups!! It is so much fun!!!

MEME'S HOUSE

Tuesday Night we went to stay with MeMe. We ate Pizza Hut and I ate and ate and ate some more. I played with Aunt Ashley and Uncle Zach ~ Well lets rephrase that I was biting Aunt Ashley and watching her run! Oh and we got to watch the new baby's video. HE/SHE IS SO CUTE!!!

Uncle Zach and Aunt Ashley are pregnant (Not sure if we told you)! The baby is getting so big. It's heart was beating so fast and he/she was just a playing and kicking around. Aunt Ashley is still feeling sick so keep her in your prayers. We will have to try to get a picture. It is just amazing how in 2 weeks the baby just doubles! WoW! God is Amazing!

Wednesday we had lunch at MeMe's along with Mamaw Crocker all of her brothers and sisters and lots of aunts and uncles. I ate and ate and ate some more! I don't think my mom has seen me eat this BIG in weeks. She was so proud as usual.

I know everyone knows that my favorite part about going to MeMe's was her stairs but now I have figured out that the elevator is so much better! I don't even have to work to get upstairs in it but the only problem is getting people to take me up and down. I just don't get why it is not SO MUCH fun for everyone else. I sit at the door of the elevator and open and shut my hands which is the sign for open oh and I also yell until someone comes to take me UP!!! Usually it is MeMe to the RESCUE!!!

EGG HUNT AT SCHOOL

Today was the first day I walked to class. I walked from the truck to my classroom. I did really good except I am not to good at steering just yet but I will get there! Mrs Margaret was telling me I needed to talk to her! I just smiled!!!

Egg Hunt! I walked to my eggs and picked them up. I wanted to crawl but Mrs. Sarah said I don't think so. Keep Walking!!!! I had the best time. I got some eggs with candy in them and I also got some bubbles.

Colby, Sarah, and Audry found lots of goodies too. I think we all had a great time.

Playing on the Playground!It was so wet but I really did not care I wanted to slide and play! I had the best time playing on the playground!

THERAPY

Thursday I had therapy with Mrs. Lindsey and I did much better with my exercises. Mrs. Sarah came to watch me and play with me too. Oh and guess what I talked in front of Mrs. Sarah. She really liked all the talking I was doing!!! Thanks Mrs. Sarah for coming to see me at Physical Therapy!!!

After therapy I went over to get my new braces. They are all white. I have not got to wear them because I don't have any new shoes yet but once we get a chance to get to Jackson to buy my new shoes I will be wearing my new braces. Oh and I also got these things called Polly Wogs~ they are inserts that will go into my shoe to help transition out of braces. I can start wearing them during therapy and a little at home to get used to those and see if I tolerate them.

Friday I worked with Mrs. TJ and I walked in and out of therapy on my walker and also with the swivel on the legs working. I am having to work alot harder at controlling the walker now and it is more of a challenge but Mrs. TJ says "I am up for the challenge".

NANA'S BIRTHDAY

Daddy woke up at 4:30am to get ready to go Turkey Hunting and guess what I thought I could wake up and GO GO too. After Daddy left I stayed awake and my mom was so tired that by 7:30am we were bored and went to Nana and Papa's! I gave her a cool birthday card and it even came with lots of candy!!

We went to Hattiesburg with Nana and Papa and had pancakes for Nana's Birthday Breakfast! After breakfast we went to see Mama Daisy in the Nursing Home and Josie at the Soccer Fields. We finally got back to Nana's and we took a nap. I got to play outside before the rain set in and Nana and Mom rode me around on the tractor and Papa put my swing under the deck so I could swing!

While we were napping, Nana cooked her own Birthday Supper. It was Yummy! After dinner Nana blew out her candle and opened her gifts. All Nana wanted was a good electric mixer and I will show you what Papa gave her (He is so Funny)! Oh yeah and it was wrapped in paper with electrical tape. How hilarious!!!

Do you see it was an electrical cord with a $.99 mixer!!! Well later on Papa came out with the real mixer but this was pretty funny stuff!!! Happy 29th Birthday Nana!!! (AGAIN)

KNEE IMMOBILIZERS

This is what I have to sleep in and I have done really good wearing them. At first mom and dad would put them on me after I went to sleep but now they can put them on me right before and I do fine with them. I wear these all night to help keep my legs straight otherwise I would sleep with my knees curled up under me and my booty stuck straight in the air! This is to help me keep my hamstrings stretch out so they want get so tight.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Today was a long day for me! I went back to school. I was not sure at first about leaving my mom but after I got busy playing with my friends I remembered that I have fun at school. I read books, I painted an Easter egg, played on the playground, had some snacks, and even had some music time.

After school we went to Chick-Fil-A with Kolby, Anna Laura, and Mrs. Crystal. After lunch I had MORE therapy! I got to see Mrs. Robin and then Mrs. TJ. I did not talk much for Mrs. Sarah today but when it got time to see Mrs. Robin I just went to talking and telling her and Mrs. TJ all about it. When I finished with OT I was waiting in the waiting room to start PT and I was ready to go. I went to the door to go to the back and sat and waited for Mrs. TJ.

This is me trying to get AWAY!!!! I had a great day at PT today and walked so good in my walker. I think I AMAZE people everyday!!

Hopefully tomorrow we will try to get a video of me walking.

SCHOOL DAYS

I get to go back to school tomorrow. I am so excited!!! or wait is that My mom that is excited! Oh well who cares I get to go play with my friends, see Mrs. Sarah and I may even get to go to the playground. OH HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE!!! I will have to let everyone know how it goes. Keep a watch!!!

EYE APPOINTMENT

I had an eye appointment with Dr. Mungan on Friday. He said I am looking good! My eyes are a little bit over corrected from the surgery but only if I am looking up. He does not think this is hurting my vision so we are going to leave it along for right now. I do not have to go back for another 6 months! WOW!!! I don't think we have ever been that long without having to return to a doctor.

PLAYDATE WITH THE HADEN'S

The Haden's came over for a playdate on Thursday afternoon. It had been so long since I have seen Kolby! We played outside and had the best time. We rode motorcycles, rode in the wagon, played on the swing set, and we also rode the RI-RI! It was really hot and we all had to put on sun screen! Thanks for coming to play and I can't wait until we do it again!!!

THERAPY TALK

WoW! "What a difference a week makes!" said Mrs. T.J. at the end of the week.

It has been a pretty good week. I have many exercises that I have to do at home and at therapy. I am supposed to be doing the exercises a little more actively vs. someone else doing the exercises with my legs for me but I must say that each day I did a little better. You know I am really stubborn and I like to do my "own" thing not what everyone else wants me to do but I am working really hard. Each day at therapy I have walked just a little further with less support so PRAISE GOD! I am now trying to side step on my knees in one direction but not the other. I have lifted my toes by myself a couple of times. I am pulling up a few times a day. I am crawling much better and my endurance is way better. I am not wanting to take naps until 5 or 6 everyday so it is making for a really long night. I recieved my knee immobilizers on Wednesday afternoon and have did really well wearing them all week but it does take some getting used to I only wear them at night. (Have you ever tried to sleep with your legs straight as a board!) So I guess that is really all I have for therapy talk from this past week. Except for THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! TO MRS. TJ AND MRS. LINDSEY FOR PUTTING UP WITH ME!!! will try to keep everyone more updated but getting our schedule down has been difficult with updating especially taking naps at 5 in the afternoon!!!!

SUNDAY NIGHT

My friend, Eli, came over to play! We went to eat at Quiznos and came back to play. I am really into biting and pinching people's toes right now. You can tell in one of the pictures that I am looking really hard at Eli's but he is not wanting me to get them.

EATING AT GRANNY'S

FISH HOUSE CENTRAL~ I love to eat at Granny's! We met Nana, Papa, and Graham over at Granny's on Friday night and I ate SO SO SO BIG and played with Graham. It actually hit him alot!!!

OH BOY!!! BAILEY!!!

I have so missed my BEST friend~ Bailey! She was gone to Aunt Becky's house in Slidell when I arrived home so I had to wait another week to see her. She had a Birthday party while I was in St. Louis. It was a sleepover and I was so upset that I missed it. She even made me a T-shirt, kept a goody bag for me, and made me a flower in a painted flower pot. Oh and I forgot to tell everyone that Bailey made the winning score at her soccer game for me while I was in the hospital! She is the BEST!!!!

She got a keyboard for her birthday and I got to play on it. I was so glad to see Bailey!

LOVE MY VISITORS

Somer, Doug, and Elijah came over on Wednesday to see me. Eli would run around and I would try to catch him. Mom was so excited because that was good therapy for me. We love to have people come play!

WEDNESDAY

Each day is a little better. We started off just a few days ago that Brodie could not even hold his head. It was just like holding a newborn. You had to make sure you supported his neck and also make sure you are keeping his back straight so the spine is straight. We have learned how to transport him. He is now crawling and has made a few steps each day holding on to one of us. So today is the day to begin therapy! We have 6 months of 5 day a week therapy. Hard stuff but we can do it. Keep us in your prayers and we will let you know about his progress as the days go!

PS~Thanks so much to TJ for setting up time to help me through so much therapy. Mrs. Lindsey will also be helping us. I will also still see Mrs. Robin, Mrs. Sarah, and Mrs. Judy! I just want to thank all of you so much because you are going to have to see me everyday!!!!
